Vegetable farmers in Musanze district have shown despair over pests and diseases that affect their crops leading to massive losses. While talking to RBA journalist during the EU-Funded Kungahara project launch in Musanze, farmers expressed the need for experts to intervene and find solutions to this challenge.
Ayabagabo Christophe, the Kungahara project coordinator at Kilimo Trust acknowledged the existence of the challenge expressed by vegetable and fruit farmers in Musanze and conveyed relief to the farmers saying that the project will support farmers to learn better agronomic practices and advise them on appropriate insects and pesticide management methods to be used.
