From passion to profit: how Celestin Turimumahoro is boosting animal nutrition

Celestin Turimumahoro, a 28-year-old entrepreneur from Rwanda, has turned his passion for agriculture into a successful business in animal nutrition. With support from Kilimo Trust Rwanda’s Agri-Youth Employment (AYE) programme, he received training that helped him develop essential skills in dairy farming, particularly in cattle feeding and farm management. Initially starting with pig farming, Turimumahoro now leads QS CETU Ltd, a company that produces nutrient-rich cow feed, enhancing dairy cows’ milk production.

Thanks to his training and dedication, Turimumahoro expanded his production from 200 to 500 kilograms of feed per day and increased his workforce to 15 employees. He also gives back to his community by offering free training to local farmers, sharing his expertise to improve dairy farming practices in Rwanda. His story showcases the potential of youth in agriculture when provided with the right opportunities and support.
