Birungi Korutaro (PhD) is an agribusiness specialist with more than 14 years of experience in markets development, value chain analysis and development including formulating agriculture and tourism related investment operations in East and South Africa. She is passionate about Africa's agricultural transformation through agribusiness and mentoring girls to become a better version of themselves.

Birungi has worked extensively in the Agriculture, Tourism and Oil sectors. She joined Kilimo Trust in 2013 as an Assistant Director for Markets and Policy Analysis. Prior to this, role she was the Country Team Leader (Uganda) and Team Leader for Markets and Policy Analysis.

She has a PhD in Business Management and Administration, an MBA from the Graduate School of Business – University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Statistics degree from Makerere University.
