Dr. Yvonne Maria Pinto – BritishTrustee
Yvonne Pinto is the director of the Agricultural Learning and Impacts Network (ALINe), a consulting practice stream in Firetail Limited focused on strategy, insights and learning particularly in monitoring and evaluation in agriculture for development.
Formally she was a programme officer in the agricultural team at the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation in Seattle and Africa. Africa Executive at the Gatsby Charitable Foundation in London, with a long standing interest in agricultural development in sub-Saharan Africa where over 20 years she has created and supported effective institutions and agricultural development programmes.
She was also Research Fellow and Deputy Investigator for Europe and Africa: Partnerships in food and farming based at the Centre for Environmental Policy at Imperial College, she worked with UN FAO and organised the first global conference on agricultural research for development GCARD. She has an MSc and a PhD from Imperial College at Wye and a BSc in Agricultural Plant Sciences from Reading University.
Yvonne sits on various boards, programme advisory and steering committees with experience in Governance and Women’s Equity and Empowerment. She is a Fellow of the Royal Agricultural University an experienced mentor with extensive management and leadership training.
