Prof. Joseph MUKIIBI

Joseph is a plant pathologist who has published widely on tropical crop diseases. He was professor and head of crop science at Makerere University and was responsible for setting up the Ugandan National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO). He was educated at Makerere and St Andrews (UK) Universities and has undertaken research at universities in Kenya, Tanzania and California

Dr. John MUTUNGA

Dr. Mutunga, a Kenyan holds the following qualifications: Bachelor of Science, Agriculture (1988) University of Nairobi M.A. – Development Sociology (2003) University of Nairobi PhD – Socio-Economics and Environmental Studies (2008) Kenyatta University He brings to the Board of Kilimo Trust experience that include the following: The Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya National Federation of Agricultural Producers (KENFAP). A part-time lecturer in Environmental Studies at Kenyatta University.

Frederick LULE

Mr. Fred Lule a Ugandan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He graduated from the London School of Economics. He has over 25 years of diversified financial management and reporting experience in both the public and private sectors in the UK, USA and various countries in the East, West and Southern Africa.

Dr. Yvonne PINTO

Yvonne Pinto is the director of the Agricultural Learning and Impacts Network (ALINe), a consulting practice stream in Firetail Limited focused on strategy, insights and learning particularly in monitoring and evaluation in agriculture for development. Formally she was a programme officer in the agricultural team at the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation in Seattle and Africa. Africa Executive at the Gatsby Charitable Foundation in London, with a long standing interest in agricultural development in sub-Saharan Africa where over 20 years she has created and supported effective institutions and agricultural development programmes.

Prof. Geoffrey MREMA

Professor Geoffrey C. Mrema, a Tanzanian, holds a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering (Hons) from the University of Nairobi; M.Sc. and PhD in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK, and University College, Dublin, Ireland respectively. He also in 1984 attended the second "International Course on development oriented Research in Agriculture [ICRA2]" in Wageningen, the Netherlands.

Mr. Vianney KABERA

Vianney is a seasoned Businessman based in the East African Region,and graduated from The Maastricht School of Management (MSM) the Netherlands 2008,after his first Degree in B.com (Finance) from Makerere University 1989-92. He is currently spearheading the export of Horticulture products to EU,Middle East countries,and Congo Brazzaville under his Company Freshpak Rwanda ltd,involved in farming and development of farmers through outgrower schemes.

Dr. Mary Shetto

Dr. Mary Christine Shetto is a Agriculture and Rural Development practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the management of agricultural development programmes and provision of advisory services in Tanzania. Before joining Kilimo Trust, she worked with the Ministry of Agriculture Food Security and Cooperatives and Development Projects in Tanzania. She joined Kilimo Trust as the Team Leader of the Competitive African Rice Initiative (CARI) and Kilimo Trust Tanzania.
